Corporate Social Responsibility Consultancy and Advocacy

Recognizing how important CSR efforts are to our clients, SCA focuses on a few broad CSR categories:

Environmental efforts: One primary focus of corporate social responsibility is the environment. Businesses, regardless of size, have large carbon footprints. Any steps they can take to reduce those footprints are considered good for both the company and society.
Philanthropy: Businesses can practice social responsibility by donating money, products or services to social causes and nonprofits.
Ethical labour practices: By treating employees fairly and ethically, companies can demonstrate their social responsibility. This is especially true of businesses that operate in international locations with labour laws that differ from those in their domain.
Volunteering: Attending volunteer events says a lot about a company’s sincerity. By doing good deeds without expecting anything in return, companies can express their concern for specific issues and commitment to certain organizations

Curriculum Development

SCA have developed a step-by-step process used to create positive improvements on courses offered by schools, colleges and universities. Innovative teaching techniques and strategies (such as active learning or blended learning) are constantly updated in order to improve the student learning experience.

Family Centered Learning Projects

The family centered learning projects are core to SCA and exists to provide support to families, with the goal to improve individual learning outcomes. The Education initiative focuses on improving the interaction between families and the local schools as well as providing remedial facilities to children. The Training initiative focuses on providing parenting and job training classes.

Creative and Digital Technology in Education

SCA have the capacity to build and manage ICT infrastructure for schools and colleges. Schools need to use digital technologies as an integral component of their learning and teaching programs safely and responsibly SCA has develop a wide range of digital products

Community Education Projects

SCA run programs to promote learning alongside social development work. Our approach involves engaging in dialogue with communities and participants to construct tailored programmes.

The purpose of community learning and development is to increase the capacity of individuals and groups of all ages through their actions, the capacity of communities and to improve their quality of life. Community education encompasses all those occupations and approaches that are concerned with running education and development programmes within local communities, rather than within educational institutions such as schools, colleges and universities.

Terms

Acceptance of any contribution, gift or grant is at the discretion of the Stalwart Communities Africa (SCA). Stalwart Communities Africa will not accept any gift unless it can be used or expended consistently with its purpose and mission.

No irrevocable gift, whether outright or life-income in character, will be accepted if under any reasonable set of circumstances the gift would jeopardize the donor’s financial security.

Stalwart Communities Africa will refrain from providing advice about the tax or other treatment of gifts and will encourage donors to seek guidance from their own professional advisers to assist them in the process of making their donation.

Stalwart Communities Africa will accept donations of cash or publicly traded securities. Gifts of in-kind services will be accepted at the discretion of the Stalwart Communities Africa.

Certain other gifts, real property, personal property, in-kind gifts, non-liquid securities, and contributions whose sources are not transparent or whose use is restricted in some manner, must be reviewed prior to acceptance due to the special obligations raised or liabilities they may pose for Stalwart Communities Africa.

Stalwart Communities Africa will provide acknowledgments to donors meeting tax requirements for property received by the charity as a gift. However, except for gifts of cash and publicly traded securities, no value shall be ascribed to any receipt or other form of substantiation of a gift received by Stalwart Communities Africa.

Stalwart Communities Africa will respect the intent of the donor relating to gifts for restricted purposes and those relating to the desire to remain anonymous. With respect to anonymous gifts, Stalwart Communities Africa will restrict information about the donor to only those staff members with a need to know.

Stalwart Communities Africa will not compensate, whether through commissions, finders’ fees, or other means, any third party for directing a gift or a donor to the Stalwart Communities Africa.
